Andres and Marie Lou, a husband and Wife team, with a shared vision for relaxed, informal dining, with a serious wine list to match the serious cooking.

My career started out with Oddbins the wine merchants in London, where I soon discovered my passion for wines.I then progressed to head office working for Oddbins corporate business, selling wine to the trade. Frequenting the diverese eateries & dining pubs inspired me to one day open up my own pub.
I honed my skills managing pubs for Mitchells & Butler, then finally worked for a food focused independent pub group. I left London & moved to Hampshire
in 2009.
It's my pleasure to now welcome you to the Purefoy Arms our very own pub with an extensive wine list, comprising of wines hand picked by myself to compliment the food we offer.

My passion for good food comes from my upbringing in Spain where good home family cooking was an everyday part of life. When I was 8 I moved to London and upon turning 16 out of the blue, decided to pursue a career in catering.
Working at places like the Oxo Tower & Mash for Oliver Peyton and Bruno Loubet, I also worked for Simon Shaw at the Fifth floor restaurant in Harvey Nichols. It was then I discovered pubs in London were serving some of the most exciting food in the capital, and worked for the Anglesea Arms in Hammersmith where they changed the menu twice a day!
Finally ending up working for the House in Islington my head chef was Jeremy Hollingsworth a man who taught me to respect ingredients and how to get the best out of them.
I now welcome you to the Purefoy Arms our very own pub, offering all the food I love and adore.
